Library Stories!!!
The 100th Anniversary of Roald Dahl’s birth was celebrated by the whole school on the 13th of September. A survey was done by 5th Class to find his most popular book. They asked all adults and children in the school.
The result (no surprise!) was The BFG!
Library visits!
4th Class visited Cobh Library in October for a book reading with Irish author Alan Earley
Paula and Rachel visited our school during the Book Fair to read stories to the children in Senior Infants and 1st Class. Paula is our well known and loved librarian from Cobh Library! Rachel came to us from Blackpool Library in Cork.
6th Class visited Cork City Library (Grand Parade) in November for a book reading with Irish author Dave Rudden. Thanks to Eibhlín Cassidy who works as Executive Librarian for Children in the Grand Parade Library for organising free tickets for us. Eibhlín is also a parent in our school!
