The Corridors are alive here in BSRAC today celebrating world book day. Children have been busy all week marking the big day with competitions, bringing their teddies on a booknic, creating classroom door book covers, blind dates with books, word hunts aswell as speed dating with a book!

This week there was a big emphasis on getting the children to read out loud. There was no written homework this week but instead there was a focus on getting families to listen to each other read aloud each evening.  Everyone practiced their fluency skills which really helps with children’s comprehension skills. This also gave the children the opportunity to practice their speak out drama technique which we have been using all month! A real win, win!
