Mr. Stephenson’s Sixth Class STEM Club has been exploring areas of physics and chemistry over the past number of weeks through fun, hands-on experiments. We have also examined the steps needed to complete a fair test and how we can compose theories and hypotheses through analysing our results.

Below, you can see some videos and images of ‘The Egg Drop Challenge’ (with no causalities!), ‘The Elephant’s Toothpaste’ experiment and the creation of chemical fireworks and lava lamps.

Our focus now turns towards utilising the knowledge and questions we have come up with over the past number of weeks to create science project entries for the Intel Mini-Scientist Competition taking place in November. Watch this space to see our amazing STEAM projects come to life!
