Christmas Plays

As previously flagged with you on our App, website and over email, our Christmas Plays this year will be on the 20^th December.

This is a change from previous years when class shows were staggered over a number of weeks. Feedback was that this is disruptive to parents.

All class group from Junior Infants to Rang VI will perform a short production / concert on the 20^th December for parents. The productions will last approx. 10 – 15 minutes each. The times of the class level’s shows are laid out below.

Another change this year is that we are going to record the shows for a DVD which will be available to purchase. This fundraiser will help the school pay for the 32 new iPads which we have bought this year. For that reason, we would ask parents to avoid recording their child’s production so as not to distract from the whole performance and professional videographer.

Orders for the DVD will be taken on the day of the show and available in January.

We are hoping that this will allow you as parents to sit back, relax and enjoy the production! It will also avoids use of cameras and the uploading of photographic content of groups of children onto social media which is contrary to data protection.

Please note, siblings in the school are not allowed to view the parents’ show on the 20^th for space reasons. Students will have viewed all shows before the parents’ day.
