It was a sad day yesterday for Bunscoil Rinn an Chabhlaigh as we bade farewell to Father Pat but also wished him the best in his new post in Mitchelstown. Father Pat has been with us for five years and we wanted to celebrate his time here.

All the pupils and staff gathered in the hall for a prayer service that involved pupils saying ‘Prayers of the Faithful’.  Ms. Flannery spoke about Father Pat’s time here and how much he contributed to the community spirit in the school. 3rd to 6th class played ‘Hail Glorious St. Patrick’ on their tin whistles in honour of Father Pat. Mrs. O’ Connor presented Father Pat with a parting gift.

Thank you to all who helped on the day and a special thank you to Father Pat- you will be missed!
