We have great news to share from the Active School Committee! Our school has been awarded a special school flag to honour our commitment to The Daily Mile.

To mark this special achievement, Thursday December 10th was designated “Raise a Flag  for the Daily Mile Day”.

The Daily Mile involves 15 minutes during the school day in which children jog or run at their own pace. It promotes improved health and well-being through daily physical activity.

Here you can see this year’s Active School Committee members at the flag raising. All the pupil representatives completed their daily mile afterwards.

A huge well done to everybody for taking part! We encourage everyone to stay active throughout the day to try to hit our ’60  active minutes’ daily target.
