Totem poles are sculptures carved by many indigenous people. Totem poles serve many purposes beyond their beauty, and their meanings are as varied as the cultures that make them. We looked at Totem Poles carved by Australian Aborgines, who used them as a way to record the history and legends of their tribes. The art club used cardboard kitchen rolls and Styrofoam. They painted on patterns using different colours which were then glued together. Viewed all together, these totems are a tribute to our very own art club!
