Marble art is believed to have been invented in Turkey. It is the art of creating colourful patterns by sprinkling and brushing colour pigments on a pan of oily water and then transforming this pattern to paper. Instead of using oil, we experimented by using shaving foam and food colouring as well as acrylic paints. They sprayed shaving foam into a pan and patted it down. They then sprinkled the shaving foam with droplets of food colouring and acrylic paints. With the ends of their paintbrushes, they swirled the mixture together to create a collage of whirling patterns spiralling in all directions.
