Dear Parents/Guardians,

The newly formed Student Council of Bunscoil Rinn an Chabhlaigh have organised a Cake Sale which will take place in the school hall next Friday December 9th.  This event is to fundraise money for school resources and equipment.

Classes from 3rd to 6th have been asked to provide baked goods (cakes/cookies/biscuits) for sale. They can be home-made or store bought. If anyone in the other classes (infants to 2nd) also wishes to make something and send it in it would of course be more than appreciated by our council.

Cakes should be brought in on the morning of the sale, Friday 9th of December.

On the day of the sale all classes in the school will have an opportunity to buy cakes so students may bring some money to purchase cakes. Cake prices will range from 50c-€2.50 and a maximum of 3 cakes per child is allowed to ensure fairness. Should there be a surplus of cakes at 1:30pm and 2:30pm on Friday, we will invite parents to come to the hall and purchase cakes if they wish.

Please note that:

  • Any containers used to store the cakes should be clearly labelled with your child’s name and class to ensure it is returned to you.
  • The Students Council are aware of dietary needs/allergies that exist within the school and although we welcome all cakes (e.g. gluten free, dairy free etc.) we cannot guarantee that these cakes are in fact suitable for specific allergies. We would therefore advise that children with any allergy or intolerance bring their own treat/cake with them to school that day.

We wish to thank all parents and students in advance for their help and support with this fundraiser.

Yours sincerely,

Student Council
