School Improvement Plan & School Self Evaluation

As a school, we are always looking at what we do, how we do it and what we can improve. We do this as reflective learners and we try to model this for the children so that they too can be reflective in their own learning.  Reflecting on what one does and thinking of ways we could improve next time reinforces the ‘what worked well’ ideas leading to better outcomes for all – children and professionals. This also prepares our students to be life-long learners.

We look for improvements in every area of the school and we set realistic targets in each subject / activity. This is ably led by the Assistant Principals who coordinate each curricular area. The students too have their voice through the Student Council along with the parents through the Parent Association. As a collective group, we can all contribute to change-for-improvement in our school.  This is our School Improvement Plan.

A finer part of our plan goes into greater detail on a chosen area of priority that year. This is called School Self Evaluation (SSE).  It is a cyclical process as shown in the diagram above. Full details on SSE for all schools can be accessed here.

Our SSE focus in BSRAC for 2023/24 is the development of Oral Language through Games.

We would welcome all parents’ feedback and contributions to our SSE focus areas and look forward to hearing ways in which you think you can help.
